SIMPLE SENTENCE

A.    Simple sentence is a sentence which has only one independent clause. It has one subject and one predicate.

Example :                                                       

1.      I met Baekhyun yesterday.

2.      Ana is dancing in the stage at the moment.

3.      Wulan will go to SM building.

B.     A simple sentence may have a compound subject (more than one element)

Example :

1.      Wulan and Kyuhyun are walking together.

2.      Yoland and Jungkook went to the party.

3.      Mutiara and Baekhyun are classmates.

C.     A simple sentence may have a compound predicate.

Example :

1.      Lusiana studied hard and got excellent score.

2.      Galih is dancing and singing in the room.

3.      Wiwik ran and shouted in the park two days ago.

Remember that simple sentences don’t use commas.
